Christmas Foodbank Donations

You have been amazing! The support that was received for the foodbank Harvest Appeal from churches and schools in West Berkshire has been exceptional. Thank you so much.

We now turn to Christmas, and the ever-popular Reverse Advent Calendar (see above). For those of you unfamiliar with this, the idea is that instead of receiving a gift, you donate a gift of an essential item of food or toiletries. This is a lovely idea to use with children or grandchildren and so show the spirit of giving to those less fortunate at Christmas. It can be started any time and runs for 24 days, suggesting a different item every day that you might like to donate to the Foodbank. We ask that donations are taken to the warehouse by 19th December – the warehouse will be closed over Christmas.

The second festive initiative is the 12 days of Christmas. This suggests 12 festive treats that can be donated to make Christmas a little more comfortable and enjoyable. We ask that these are delivered to the warehouse by Friday 8th December so that they can be included with every parcel we send out.

Thank you for your continued support of West Berkshire Foodbank. With your help, we can hope for a good response this Christmas, which will be vital for us to continue to help all those in difficulties in the early months of the new year.
