Rector’s Update 04/02/25
At the end of January, we had another inter-congregational tea and it was lovely to see so many people from all of our different churches. Thank you to all who helped organise, set up, serve and clear up afterwards and thank you too to all who brought along so many delicious bakes.
This weekend we are holding Snowdrop Saturday (8th) at St Denys’ Church from 11am - 2.30pm. All are welcome to drop by and see the wonderful display of snowdrops in the Churchyard – hot drinks will be available.
On Sunday (9th) we have our usual range of services in each of our churches as we continue our series journeying through the letter to the Ephesians.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (5th March) with a service for everyone in the Benefice at St Denys’ Church at 7.30pm.
On subsequent Wednesdays in Lent, we are holding a Lent Course called Tenants of The King which will help us to consider what the Bible has to say to us about the environment and to offer the opportunity to consider how we can respond as Christians. More details in the coming weeks.
Finally, please be aware that at the time of writing the Church Office telephone is not working. We are hoping that it will soon be fixed but, in the meantime, if you can’t get through do email the Office or contact me direct.
Have a good week
Steve
